LiveRAC is a tool for exploring large sets of time series. It's based
on Tamara Munzner's According Drawing framework for
semantic zooming with guaranteed visibility of critical data items.
LiveRAC presents a collection of time series in a grid similar to the
familiar spreadsheet model. It provides high information density using
an interactively reorderable matrix of charts, with semantic zooming so
that each chart provides a visual representation adapted to the available
space. The CHI 2008 paper linked below also describes a Multidimensional
In-depth Long-term Case study (MILC) carried out with the cooperation
of AT&T Internet hosting Life Cycle Engineers.
