I am a member of the Network Measurement and Engineering Department at the AT&T Labs, Inc. - Research in Florham Park, New Jersey, USA. My research interest lies in network management and operations. Over last several years, I have been leading the IP Route Monitor projects at AT&T -- both for intra-domain and inter-domain routing. My research also focuses on improving the state-of-the-art in IP routing itself, especially the inter-domain routing.

Brief Bio

I obtained my B.E. in Computer Science and M.Sc. in Mathematics from the BITS, Pilani (India) in August 1998; and M.S. and Ph.D. in Computer Engineering from the University of California, Santa Cruz, CA (USA) in June 2000 and December 2003 respectively.

My Ph.D. advisor was Prof. Anujan Varma. For my Ph.D. dissertation, I worked on how to improve management related aspects of the routing infrastructure in IP networks. In particular, I focused on OSPF (Open Shortest Path First), one of the widely used routing protocols within service provider and enterprise networks.
