I received B.Eng and M.Eng degrees in electronic engineering from the University of Pretoria in South Africa in 1989 and 1991 respectively. I worked at the CSIR (a South African research and development organization) for three years before joining the Systems Research Group at the University of Cambridge Computer Laboratory from where I received a Ph.D in 1998. Since then I have been with the Networking Research Department of AT&T Labs Research.

Interests

I am a networking systems researcher with a broad interest in all aspects of networking including network management, control and operation, network evolution, network security, content distribution and cloud computing.
