| Sem Borst received the M.Sc. degree
in applied mathematics from
the University of Twente, The Netherlands, in 1990, and the Ph.D.
degree from the University of Tilburg, The Netherlands, in 1994. In
1995 he joined Bell Labs, Lucent Technologies, as a Member of Technical
Staff in the Mathematics of Networks and Systems Research department in
Murray Hill, NJ, USA. Since the fall of 1998, he has also been with the
Center for Mathematics and Computer Science (CWI) in Amsterdam. He also
holds a part-time appointment as a professor of Stochastic Operations
Research at Eindhoven University of Technology. Dr. Borst is a member
of ACM Sigmetrics and IFIP Working Group 7.3, and serves or has served
as a member of several program committees and editorial boards. His
main research interests are in performance evaluation and resource
allocation. |
